Pangkor Laut Resort Special Honeymoon Promotion The island of Pangkor Laut is tiny, with only one resort. Most of the island is rain forest, with a small, tranquil beach on the opposite side of the resort. Cars are available throughout the day to drive you to and from the beach.
There are 4 types of accommodation: hill villas, garden villas, sea villas (on stilts) and spa villas (on stilts). you can selected the spa villas based on recommendations from others, and also because the entire spa village has a no children policy, so guarantees a peaceful relaxing time to special honeymoon.
The spa village is exceptional. The gardens are absolutely magnificent. Frangipani, jasmine, ylang ylang and all sorts of other fragrances hit your senses as you walk around. Butterflies and birds everywhere. You can spent hours just photographing the gardens. The spa rim flow pool is a perfect place to relax, with service from the Japanese restaurant just above it for most of the day.
Breakfast is a huge collection of multinational cuisine. I fell in love with the Malaysian Kui (spelling?), little sweet cakes made of glutinous rice. One morning I had indian curry and roti for breakfast and it was delicious. Yoga happens at 8:30 every morning. There are also guided walks across the island from 11am, but be warned - the humidity reaches 95%. It's like being in a steambath.
The food at Uncle Lim's restaurant was phenomenal. you can ordered a LOT of food and ate every morsel. Especially his banana leaf fish . Fisherman's cove was OK, quite overpriced and insisted on closed shoes for men, which is the last thing you want to wear on an island holiday ( a lot of men wore crocs - go figure. Havaianas look a lot better). The Feast Village was also just OK ( Malaysian food )
The hotel is on a private island, where it seems that there are no people. It's a super-exclusive, in jeeps take you from one place to another, the beach "Esmeral Bay" is incredible, all wild, and with a lovely green waters and toasty. The spa is beautiful, it is worth at least a massage, because it includes a bath circuit in nature that is a joy. Lunch and dinner is similar to what it would cost the average site in Spain, the food is rich and restaurants that is charming all at the edge of the sea. If you have budget, no doubt, is a place to remember.
